Studying Graphic Design in Italy before moving to England, Elisabetta eventually got into designing full-time and has been a designer for a few years. She also has experience in copywriting, typesetting and is a skilled Italian translator.

Elisabetta Bruno is both an active volunteer Forum Host for the About Desktop Publishing and About Graphics Software forums and a frequent contributor of tutorials and FAQs to the About Desktop Publishing site, where she wrote the Adobe InDesign Basics Class.

She is one of the founders of Designorati.com, where for a while she was the Senior Associate Editor and was taking care of the Desktop Publishing section, before she started to write on her own.

Her Desktop Publishing tutorials covering InDesign, QuarkXPress, Photoshop and pre-press, can be found at the aforementioned sites and others, as well as in this blog.

Elisabetta is a member of Creative Latitude, a worldwide community that unites various creative disciplines for collective promotion, education and ethical business practice. Yet her strong passion about the design industry lead her to her decision to also become a committee member of NO!SPEC, the result of a group of designers from all over the world binding together to make a resounding stand in the design industry against the harmful effects of speculative work.
